Patricia Grace, Patricia Grace, born 1937 in Wellington, writes novels, short stories and children's books. She is one of the most famous voices in the Māori culture. In her work, which has been translated into many languages, she portrays Māori values, diversity and lifestyles. Among numerous other awards, she received the Liberaturpreis for her novel "Potiki" in 1994. Grace lives in Hongoeka Bay, New Zealand.
