Gioconda Belli


Gioconda Belli, born in Managua in 1948, is a Nicaraguan writer. In 1970 she joined the Sandinista resistance to the Somoza regime. In 1988 she made her international breakthrough as an author with the novel "The Inhabited Woman”. She has since published extensively.
