Ute Frevert

Ute Frevert, 1954, was born in Bad Salzuflen and is the Deputy Managing Director of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development. She is also the Director of the institute's Centre for the History of Emotions. She researches the history of gender and emotion. In 2020, she published the book, Mächtige Gefühle: Von A wie Angst bis Z wie Zuneigung – Deutsche Geschichte seit 1900 (in English, Powerful Feelings: From A like Fear to Z like Affection - German History since 1900).
