A Japanese marketing company has recently given its non-smoking staff six additional holiday breaks to compensate for the longer breaks of smokers. The decision was preceded by complaints from non-smoking employees. Some smokers were motivated by the extra vacation to quit smoking. In Japan, about twenty percent of adults smoke.
