West Africa's largest solar power plant has been completed on the outskirts of the capital Ouagadougou. The 55-hectare facility will provide 33 megawatts, enough to supply tens of thousands of households in the region. The cost of around € 48 million came from EU funds and the French development agency AFD. French President Emmanuel Macron inaugurated the plant during a visit to Africa.
